What today is about

The highest-leverage teacher move of the unit. Watch the reasoning live, then apply it.

Today Ms. Jayanthi/Mr. Ignash demonstrates a complete Landscape Reading on a familiar location, likely the AISC campus drainage system or a segment of Marina Beach. The point is to make the reasoning move visible: here's the evidence I'm looking at; here's the inference I'm drawing; here's the inference I'm declining to draw because the evidence won't support it. The Pallikaranai Marsh worked-example doc is the exemplar (printed + in Classroom; a site version is coming). You'll see something similar built in front of you.

Then OPVL practice. Most of your Landscape Reading sources will be government data (GSI, Bhuvan, IMD) and news. The OPVL moves on those sources are different from the news/textbook OPVL of Unit 0. Geological data has its own kind of Limitation: accuracy depends on when the survey was done, what method was used, what spatial resolution. Today's the day to internalize that.

All four paths end the same: at least one completed OPVL on a source for your chosen location. The path you pick is about how deep you go.

What you're submitting today

Component 3 (T/T) of the Landscape Reading locks today: OPVL on your 3 sources.

Component 3: OPVL on 3 sources (one must be your AI source)

Full OPVL (Origin, Purpose, Value, Limitation) on all three of your sources, one of which must be the AI source you used. The Limitation has to be specific (survey date, spatial resolution, contested interpretation, missing variables). Generic Limitations like "it's not the most recent source" (or "AI can hallucinate" on the AI source) don't clear the T/T bar. This is a T/T component and it locks today; the band becomes part of your overall T/T mark.

Rubric link: OPVL specificity is a T/T thread for the Landscape Reading. The rubric calls out "OPVL applied to 3 sources including the AI source; at least one Limitation is specific and substantive" as T/T 7-8. This is the third lock in the rolling-summative sequence. See the rubric.
